The Role of Airway in the Development of a Malocclusion C01

Thursday 06/10/10

8:00 AM-11:00 AM

ORTHODONTICS / CE CREDITS 3

AUDIENCE: D A H

Dentists need to be more involved in managing airway development and craniofacial formation in growing children. Current research reveals that airway obstruction impairs respiration. Impaired respiration can cause craniofacial malformation, malocclusion and jaw deformation. This course will examine the research and provide evidence that early dental diagnosis and treatment of airway dysfunction and craniofacial malformation starting at birth is essential.
