With the increase in recreational and organized sports there has been a noted rise in sports related dental injuries. Your dental office can play a role in the prevention and management of oral and maxillofacial sport injuries. This course will cover types of dental injuries related to athletics, prevention of injuries and types of sports guards. (A separate hands on workshop (W07) is offered in the afternoon that outlines the fabrication of mouth guards.)
