ORAL MEDICINE / CE CREDITS 3
AUDIENCE: D A H LT G
Two out of three individuals who will seek dental care in the next year have something in their medical history that could complicate dental treatment. The goal of this course is to give the dental team a simple, but comprehensive approach to evaluating the physical and psychological status of a patient prior to treatment to avoid therapeutic conflict and medical emergencies. The role of the dental team in treating patients with common systemic disorders, such as infectious disease, cardiovascular disease and those requiring antibiotic prophylaxis will be discussed.
