As the US population ages, the entire dental office will be involved in evaluating and treating patients with an ever increasing medical and medication history. This generation, often portrayed as the Baby Boomers, can present with a long list of medications: prescription, OTC, and herbal. The dental office team should be updated on the current medications and their implications in dentistry. The basics in pharmacology needed for the busy private practice dental team that will be treating the Baby Boomers for years to come will be presented in a very practical clear-cut, and entertaining manner.
