This course will take you on an infectious disease journey encompassing the many facets of infectious disease from the medical history through final treatment. Specific pathogens and infectious diseases, modes of disease transmission, susceptibility and risk factors unique to the dental office will be discussed. New-emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and their implications on the dental team will also be presented. Numerous clinical examples will be used to highlight the oral manifestations of infectious diseases.
