CONTINUING EDUCATION
The Florida Board of Dentistry requires continuing education to maintain your professional license in Florida.
The Florida Dental Association provides a superior quality continuing-education experience for members and dental-team staff through the annual Florida National Dental Convention, which offers attendees more than 200 hours of on-site ADA CERP approved continuing education.
There is a growing number of online resources which provide continuing education in varying formats, with offerings ranging from a single, specific course, to a full spectrum of courses. The FDA's Department of Dental Care and Education is currently in the process of evaluating a number of such providers in terms of course content, cost and ease of use. As this relatively new area of continuing education develops, the FDA plans to keep members informed of online providers which meet certain established criterion.
