FNDC2008 is proud to present The Wallflowers in concert on Friday evening, June 13. This Grammy award winning group is best known as part of the mid-90's revival of roots-rock and for it's "son of a legend" front man, Jakob Dylan.
Although a true lyricist like his father; his band, the Wallflowers, is more musically influenced by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, who they opened for on tour.
Known for the multi-platinum release, Bringing Down the Horse with singles "6th Avenue Heartache", "One Headlight" and "The Difference" the group won Grammys for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group in 1998. They followed with the release "Red Letter Days" in 2002 and most recently with "Rebel, Sweetheart" in 2005.
