FIRST VICE PRESIDENT: Dr. Cesar R. Sabates

Dr. Sabates, a general dentist in Coral Gables, received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami, and received his DDS and Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certificate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.
He is the past president of the South Florida District Dental Association (SFDDA), West Dade Dental Society, the Latin American Academy of Osseointegrated Dental Implants and the American Brotherhood of Latin Dentists. Dr. Sabates has served the SFDDA as treasurer, chairperson of the Miami Winter Meeting and as chairperson of the South Florida Delegation to the FDA House of Delegates for many years. He has served as vice- chairperson of the FDA’s Council of Financial Affairs, and is co-chairperson for Donated Dental Services.
In addition, he serves on the Florida Delegation to the American Dental Association (ADA) House of Delegates and is an associate clinical professor and a core-faculty member at the University of Florida Hialeah Clinic Dr. Sabates is a Fellow of the International and American Colleges of Dentists, as well as the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He received the SFDDA Dentist of the year award in 2003 and the West Dade Dental Society’s Member of the year award in 1997 Dr. Sabates and his wife, Lydia, have two children, Cesar III and Albert.
