FIRST VICE PRESIDENT: Dr. Larry Nissen

Dr. Nissen received his dental degree at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and maintains an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with locations in Merritt Island and Titusville .
Dr. Nissen currently serves as President of the Florida Dental Health Foundation, and as Chairman of the Florida Delegation to the American Dental Association’s House of Delegates. He also is the chairperson of the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Dr. Nissen also has served as Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Specialty Education Materials and the Task Force to Study Decision-making Processes, and as General Chairperson of the Florida National Dental Congress (Convention). He also has served as President of the Brevard County Dental Society, and Editor of the Dentagram, a publication of the BCDA.
Dr. Nissen is a Fellow of the International and American Colleges of Dentists, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He also is a member of the National Academy of Practice in Dentistry, the Pierre Fauchard Academy ,the Florida Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Florida Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the academy of Osseointegration .
Dr. Nissen currently serves on the Credentials Committee at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge.
Dr. Nissen and his wife, Carol, have two children, Shannon and Ryan, and one granddaughter, Jennifer.
