Dr. Allen, a general practitioner, earned his dental degree from Indiana University School and is founding partner of Clearwater Dental Associates. He is a past president of the Upper Pinellas County and West Coast District dental associations. He has served as West Coast Delegation co-chairperson and Alternate Trustee. He has served on the FDA’s Council on Dental Health and is a delegate on the Florida Delegation to the ADA.
Dr. Allen is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is a member of the Florida Academy of Dental Practice Administration. He is officer liaison to the FDA’s Council on Membership and Committee on the Florida National Dental Congress. He serves on the FDA’s Legislative Action, Access to Care, Public Protection and Strategic Planning committees.
He is past president and Legion of Honor recipient of the Springtime City Kiwanis Club of Clearwater. He is a founding trustee of the Long Center for Recreation of Clearwater.
Dr. Allen has two sons, Brad and Neil, and a daughter, Melissa. He and his fiancé, Dr. Gerri Ferris, work together on many dental-related activities.
