The inaugural Oral Heath Summit in Jacksonville brought together FDA members, healthcare professionals from all sectors, and community leaders from Northeast Florida area to discuss the importance of oral health and develop strategies to improve local community oral health care needs.
The summit included presentations on workforce innovations, medical-dental integration, emergency department dental referrals, successful community collaborations, and partnering with schools to promote oral health.
The FDA Foundation also presented findings from the Florida Mission of Mercy (FLA-MOM) Impact Study, including characteristics and oral health care needs of patients who attend a FLA-MOM dental clinic to receive care.
