Invitation to Membership
As president of the Florida Dental Association (FDA), I invite you to join your colleagues and keep the unified voice of organized dentistry strong amongst legislators and the public. For more than a century, the FDA and its members have represented the dental profession and high ethical standards to help direct the evolution of the practice environment. You could choose to hope that the profession will fare well OR you can actively support the FDA and American Dental Association (ADA) to make sure your interests in your chosen career are protected.
When you join the FDA, you also join the ADA and one of Florida’s six component (regional) dental associations. The FDA is the constituent society of the three-tiered membership system representing Florida-licensed dentists. As an FDA member, you will enjoy a multitude of benefits, including: free pre-registration to FDC; free online continuing education (CE) courses; the FDA Peer Review Program; delegable duties information; leadership training; corporate discounts; online resources for scientific and practice management. In addition, you'll receive award-winning publications, including the Journal of the American Dental Association and Today’s FDA, as well as many other free member benefits.
Also, if you choose to join an affiliate (local) association within your regional component, you’ll have access to local CE credits, and can meet and enjoy camaraderie with other dentists in your area. While the benefits of membership are great, belonging to a group of people who share common interests, goals and life experiences can make a big difference in your day-to-day practice. Your fellow dentists have proven to be a vital support network in hard times.
