Florida’s First Mission of Mercy:
We did it… YOU did it!
Words on a page cannot describe the scene, the impact, the sentiment and the positive, life-changing effects during the weekend of March 28-29 at the Special Events Center of the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa!
The associated numbers are impressive, but still fall short of understanding the very essence and sheer exhilaration of seeing organized dentistry in our state perform during its finest hour:
- 2 days
- 40,000 square foot venue
- 103 dental chairs
- 350+ dentists/registered dental hygienists from around the state
- 1100+ support volunteers
- 1660 patients treated
- 8017 treatment procedures
- $1,141,648 worth of treatment
While we extend our most heartfelt thanks for the spirit and enthusiastic participation of our 1500+ volunteers and community partners, we want to encourage each one of our members and non-member colleagues to seek out the many viable local opportunities to volunteer and make a difference.
Until the next FLAMOM event, we remain your grateful and humble partners in service,
Drs. Nolan Allen and Leo Cullinan
2014 FLAMOM co-chairs
